Phone Integration: How to Connect Your Phone Line to Qpien

This guide will help you connect a phone line to Qpien so your team can make and receive calls directly within the platform using the Qpien Call Center feature.

Step 1: Open the Channels Screen

On the left side of your Qpien dashboard, click the Channels menu.

Step 2: Go to Phone Settings

In the Channels screen, look to the left. Under the Email & Phone section, click on Phone.

Step 3: Check Your Phone Accounts

If no phone account has been added yet, you will see this message:

"You don’t have any Phone account"
"Make sure your customers can easily reach you with the Qpien call center feature."

This means you need to connect a phone number to start receiving and managing calls through Qpien.

Step 4: Add a New Phone Account

Click the New Account button in the center of the screen.

Step 5: Connect Your Phone (Popup Window)

You will now see a popup titled Connect Phone. You have three options:

1. New Phone Number

Choose this option if you want to buy a new phone number through Qpien.

To continue, you’ll need to have a valid payment method saved in your account.

2. Use Existing Carrier

Select this if you already have a phone provider and want to use your existing SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) information.

You’ll be asked to enter your SIP credentials from your current carrier.

3. Port Your Existing Phone Number

Want to keep your current phone number?

Contact our support team to port your existing number into Qpien.

Step 3: Add Payment Method (If Required)

If you haven’t added a billing address or payment method yet, you’ll see:

"Your billing address or payment method is missing. You will be redirected to complete the required information."

  • Click Navigate to go to the Payment Method popup.

  • Enter your billing and card information.

  • After completing the form, you will be redirected back to the Phone screen.

Now, repeat:

  • Click New Account

  • Select New Phone Number

Step 4: Set Internal Details

A new popup will appear titled Connect Phone. Fill in the required fields:

  • **Name ***

    • Enter a name for this phone number (only visible inside Qpien).

    • Example: “Sales Line” or “Support US”

  • Select Teams

    • Choose which team(s) will be allowed to make and receive calls using this number.

Click Next to continue.

Step 5: Choose Country and Number Type

  • **Country ***

    • Choose the country where the number should be based.

    • Example: United States

  • Number Type

    • Select one of the following:

      • Toll-Free – A free number for customers (e.g., 1-800)

      • Local – A number with a regional area code (e.g., +1 212)

Click Next to continue.

Step 6: Confirm and Pay

In the final popup titled Connect Phone, review your payment details:

  • Your current plan: Example: Scale (Monthly)

  • Days left for renewal: Example: 12 days

  • Phone number selected: Example: +1 844 570 0522

  • Monthly price for the number: Example: $2.15

  • Amount payable now: This will be a prorated amount depending on how many days remain in your current billing cycle.

💡 Note: This phone number will be billed monthly in addition to your main plan. The first charge is prorated. Starting next month, it will be included in your regular billing cycle.

  • Payment Method: Your saved card will be shown (e.g., John Doe / ****1234)

Click Connect to complete the purchase and activation.

Your phone number is now active!
Your selected teams can start using it to call and receive calls directly from Qpien.
